Styles of Yoga explained

Hatha Yoga
A traditional and balanced style of yoga that incorporates breathing exercises (pranayama) and physical postures (asanas). Calm the nervous system, enhance flexibility, improve circulation, strengthen immunity, and promote overall well-being. This class is suitable for practitioners of all levels as options are given.

Gentle Hatha Yoga
A slower-paced version of Hatha Yoga that emphasizes joint mobility, balance, and body awareness. Perfect for beginners & seniors, or anyone seeking a gentler, more mindful practice. Expect slower-paced movements, breath work, and modifications using props like blocks and straps.

Chair Yoga
Ideal for individuals with limited mobility or those who find it challenging to get up and down from the floor. Seated stretches and standing poses with the support of a chair. This class helps improve flexibility, strength, and relaxation.

Vinyasa Yoga
A dynamic, fluid practice where movement is synchronized with breath.  This class strengthens and stretches the body while promoting mindfulness through smooth, continuous movements. Often a more physically challenging class however options will be given for all levels.

Yin Yoga
A slower-paced practice that involves holding seated or lying postures for 3–5 minutes (or longer) to target the deeper layers of fascia and connective tissue. Yin Yoga encourages energy flow (Chi) throughout the body, supports emotional release, and offers a profound opportunity for deep relaxation and meditation.

Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga is focused on complete relaxation. Poses are held for extended periods (5-20 minutes) and supported by props, such as blankets, bolsters, and blocks, to encourage deep relaxation and rejuvenation. This class is perfect for unwinding and recovering from stress.

Stretch & Restore
This class combines stretching with breathwork to enhance flexibility and relaxation. It emphasizes deep stretches and muscle recovery, suitable for all levels, as long as you can comfortably get up and down from the floor. The focus is on the physical aspects of yoga and simple breathing techniques.
