I have a lot of books about Yoga, and they are all great in their own way however here are my favourite
My favourite books for Trainee Yoga teachers or for students wanting to explore Yoga further
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
The Secret Power of Yoga by Nischala Joy Devi
Functional Anatomy of Yoga by David Kell
Yoga Sequencing by Mark Stephens
The Yamas & Niyamas by Deborah Adele
Science of Yoga by Ann Swanson
How Yoga Works by Gesne Michael Roach
Here are some non Yoga books but have really helped me integrate what i'm learning into my Yoga teaching and my own personal practice and self development
The Gift by Arun Gandhi
Good Vibes Good Life by Vex King
and finally an amazing books on the Breath which was a real learning curve!
1. Breath - The New Science of a Lost Art by James Nestor
I dip in and out of these books for many years, first reading them and going back so it sinks in and i can reflect on how it links into my teachings and my personal self development. There's a lot to learn but the key is to focus on aspects in each book and apply it to your life. experience it. live it. breathe it.
